The H20A Hypoxia workstation is a space efficient workstation that doesn’t compromise on quality.  This system will connect directly to your pre-mixed gas tank and insures a strict environment.  Gas concentrations are not adjustable or actively monitored.  If you are looking for adjustable/programmable gas concentrations, oxygen profiling and/or active monitoring, please see our HypOxystation (link).

Features

Lift-off facility
The transparent top provides excellent visibility of the working and incubation areas.  The top lifts off for deep cleaning, full sample ingress/egress and the introduction of laboratory instruments.

Multi-functional porthole system
The unique, patented, oval portholes provide both sample transfer and operator entry and exit.  Each porthole can be used to transfer up to 6 x 50ml flasks, or 2 x 275ml flasks, or 1 x 600ml flask (or objects of similar size) at the same time as an operator’s arms are inserted or withdrawn from the workstation.

Strict environment
Manufactured from 10mm acrylic sheet and annealed during fabrication for maximum strength and durability.   These extra steps during the manufacturing process create a very robust chamber and helps lock in a strict atmosphere.

Internal power socket
Some users need to operate electrical instrumentation inside the workstation.  A fused main power supply and electrical socket is available as an option.

Tissue Flask Rack
Bespoke racks to accommodate popular sizes of cellware.

Refillable Chemical Sachets
Catalyst for oxygen reduction and patented chemical compounds for the removal of hydrogen sulphide and volatile fatty acids which are introduced when anoxic conditions are required.

Automatic Humidity Control System
The fully automated humidity control system does not require any user maintenance.

Single sample entry system
Individual 50ml flasks and 90mm Petri dishes can be introduced quickly and conveniently into the workstation

Easy access to all control systems
All components are easily accessed from the front of the workstation

I heart my HypOxystation

We study the molecular mechanisms of neuronal survival and degeneration, induced by oxygen and glucose deprivation in vitro. The HypOxystation enables us to consistently maintain a 1.0% oxygen environment.
